Introduction

Death entered the world because of Adam's sin and all people have inherited this sinful nature. Sin separates us from a Holy God and is best described as man's rebellion against the Creator. There is no one righteous in God's sight and we have all fallen short of the glory of God. We have broken His law's and have not lived life in accordance to His righteous standards. The consequence of sin is death; sinners will face judgment; and the penalty will be eternal separation from God (in a place the bible calls hell).

Adam and Eve were real people

Adam and Eve were real people. Genesis 1:26-27, 2:21-23, 3:20, 5:1-2; 1 Timothy 2:13

The duty of mankind is to trust and obey God

The duty of mankind is to trust and obey God.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Death entered the world because of Adam's sin

Death entered the world because of Adam's sin {disobedience/offence}. Romans 5:12-21

All people have inherited a sinful nature and have sinned:

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God..

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned..

Sin separates us from a Holy God

Sin separates us from a Holy God and is best described as man's rebellion against the Creator.

Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. 3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. 4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

There is no one righteous in God's sight

There is no one righteous in God's sight because we have all broken His law's and have not lived life in accordance to His righteous standards. We are all unclean and our righteous deeds are as filthy rags.

Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

The consequence of sin is death

The consequence of sin is death. Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:22

Sinners will face judgment

Sinners will face judgment and the penalty will be eternal separation from God in a place called "the lake of fire."

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment..

John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
